Enact Foundation

Established in 2022, the Enact Foundation is dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations helping to build better, more equitable communities where our employees live and work. Our philanthropic grants are focused on social issues aligned with our mission and business priorities, specifically affordable housing, homelessness, and closing the minority homeownership gap, and are guided by the interests and passions of our employees locally and across the US. 

Since 2022, the Enact Foundation has distributed over $425,000 in grants to over 15 non-profit organizations. 

The application and decisioning process takes place in the spring; click here to access the grant submission portal, registration will be required. Non-profits interested in applying should carefully review our grant criteria and eligibility requirement to ensure their grant requests aligns with our goals and objectives.

Philanthropic Grant Criteria

Grant evaluation criteria include but are not limited to: 

  • Alignment with Enact's mission and business priorities (affordable housing, homelessness, closing the minority homeownership gap) 
  • Ability to generate sustainable and measurable outcomes 
  • Financial position and sources of income 
  • Engagement of Enact employees

 

Additional Eligibility Requirements

All applicants must be a nonprofit, charitable organization tax-exempt under section 501(c)3 of the US Internal Revenue Code. All applicants must comply with the USA Patriot Act and may not discriminate on the basis of a person's race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status or other characteristic protected by law.

Grants will not be made to:

  • Political, labor, fraternal/social organizations or civic clubs
  • Religious organizations for sectarian or evangelic purposes
  • Third parties seeking donations on behalf of nonprofit organizations
  • Sports, athletic, recreational or little leagues
  • Grant to individuals
  • Advertising activities
  • Development or production of books, films, videos, radio or TV programs
  • Private foundations (corporate or family)
  • Endowments or memorials
